Sweet Turnips seeds

$5.00

This white salad turnip sets the standard for flavour

The flat-round, smooth, white roots mature early, just after radishes, and are best harvested young, up to 5cm diameter. Eaten raw, the flavour is sweet and fruity, and the texture is crisp and tender. The dark-green, hairless tops are useful raw or lightly cooked with the roots. We love to roast ours with the green tops on.

Best grown in Spring, Early summer, Autumn

Seed packet contains 50 seeds - measured for one family for Spring and Autumn production

Avoid growing for to many days in a row in temperatures above 32c, otherwise they do grow too fast and can go corky, to prevent water well and cover with a shade cloth

Important Reminder: While we take great care in the realistic representation of our products, many variables such as climatic conditions, natural variation or manufacturing changes may affect the precise appearance of each variety.
